Today many of us consider our family pet to be a part of our family. As responsible pet owners we should be aware of the toxic effects pesticides have on our cats and dogs.

Studies on animals have proven that pesticides can cause cancer, nervous system disorders, liver, bladder and kidney damage. Except in cases of acute poisoning, the toxic effects of pesticides are accumulative over time.

To be a responsible pet owner, we need to realize that the pesticides we apply to our lawns can be as harmful to our pets as they are to the pests we are trying to kill.

If you use pesticides (weed and feed, grub control products, and liquid weed spray are just a few examples) on your lawn, we encourage you to investigate and educate yourself.
